GREETINGS FROM THE LUNCH BUNCH!!!
We hope everyone had a wonderful summer and you are all refreshed and ready to come back to school. Don’t forget about our Facebook page called McBain LUNCH BUNCH. We hope to share with you some of the new menu items we will be bringing to your children, take some fun pictures and just share with you any changes that might happen. With snow days and power outages, sometimes things don’t always go as planned.
The lunch menu will again be a cycle menu, but I hope to get it out in paper form more than once. Remember, you will get a menu at the beginning of the year and it will repeat every four weeks. If there is no school scheduled for that day, we will skip that lunch. Any changes will be posted on the facebook page or website.
For 6-12 grades, if your child would like an additional entrée, they can purchase this for an extra fee of $1.50. This would be if they want an extra piece of pizza for instance. We also have ala cart items that your child can purchase too. Prices range from $0.50 to 2.50. Again, if your child is ALLERGIC to any food and they plan to eat eat school lunch, please let us know. We will gladly accommodate them in any way that we can. They will also need a note from a Licensed Physician, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. I CAN NOT accept
anything else. If you need a form, you can find it online in the lunch portion of the website. Look for the CACFP request for specific meals/accommodations. I need a note or form done yearly or I cannot honor the previous year.
FREE Breakfast in the Classroom will again be offered for grades K-5. Breakfast for grades 6-12 will be offered in the Multi Use Room. There will be a microwave available for 6-12, but please remind your children this is a privilege and to please clean up after themselves.
I look forward to serving your children this year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Tami Eisenga at 825-8330 ext.1350.
Thank you!! THE LUNCH BUNCH
PS. We will be starting the menu on Stuffed Crust Pizza Day. This is week 3, day 3. When September starts we will be on week 1 and hopefully that will be easier to follow.
