Position title
Outdoor Maintenance Director
Description

McBain Rural Agricultural Schools is seeking a dependable, motivated, and proactive individual to serve as the district’s Outdoor Maintenance Director. This position is responsible for the year-round care, appearance, safety, and improvement of district grounds, athletic fields, outdoor facilities, and related equipment.

The Outdoor Maintenance Director is expected to take ownership of the district’s outdoor spaces, addressing immediate needs while developing preventative maintenance plans and short- and long-term goals that protect district resources and continually improve our facilities.

What Success Looks Like
Success means that district grounds and outdoor facilities are clean, attractive, safe, and well-maintained throughout the year. Athletic fields are prepared and ready for use; snow and ice are addressed promptly; equipment and facilities receive preventative maintenance; seasonal staff understands expectations; and potential concerns are identified before they become larger problems.

The Outdoor Maintenance Director should continually look ahead—knowing what needs attention today while planning for next season and future years—and keep administration informed of upcoming needs, recommended improvements, and equipment or facility concerns. Ultimately, students, staff, families, and community members should see the pride taken in McBain Schools from the moment they arrive on campus.
